A Journey Worth Following
John August not only gives the listener a generous ride toward the release of his book, he shares his love of podcasts by writing, interviewing and producing a podcast he hopes lives up to the kinds of podcasts he’s enjoyed. He cares as much about our experience as we follow him along his path as he hopes his book will succeed. So far, (as of this review only two episodes have premiered) the result is delightful, encouraging, inspiring and full of heart. My only wish was that, as we head toward the production of his book and how that process operates, I wish there was more into the process of writing the book (the structure, characterization, narrative style and how he found it over his screenwriter voice) yet I understand why it isn’t there. It would’ve revealed too much of the story before anyone had a chance to read it. Perhaps that comes later. In any case it is not only a good adventure, narrated by a giving adventurer, it is also a solid podcast in its own right.
