Description
What makes a great leader? How does leadership live in our own lives, and in our universities, businesses, organizations, and world communities? Dr. Lisa Adams, Geisel School of Medicine faculty member and head of Dartmouth's Global Health Initiative, says it's important to be a "leader who listens" if you want to be successful working with global health partners. According to Dr. Adams, leadership is important to global health because the complex challenges of health care delivery demand "leaders who can think in creative and innovative ways" and develop complex solutions. She says she's been able to grow her leadership skills by watching other effective leaders in action, including Dartmouth faculty who are "leaders and experts in their fields."
