“It’s so encouraging to find more spaces like this where guests can share authentic experiences that build faith while making space for the doubt and uncertainty that are also part of an authentic walk of faith. Kurt brings in a great selection of diverse speakers and perspectives. As a host, he is often overly eager to share his experiences and alwaya defendnthe church. At times it feels like he leads the witness too much to the kind of toxic positivity that church culture needs to get away from. I’ve listened to a quite a few of the episodes where he interviews people who have experienced faith crisis, and as they share their personal and painful experiences, Kurt seems overly eager to get the conversation to resolution where church policy, leaders, and doctrine aren’t contributors. For anyone who has experienced faith crisis, the “other side” of the crisis isn’t a return to the type of certain faith that the person had before—rather a totally new journey where the individual exercises a tremendous amount of faith by integrating the feelings of doubt and uncertainty into a richer faith experience and moving forward.”
