As the son of Wycliff Bible Translator missionaries in Bolivia and have left the fundis years ago, I still find the validation of the abuse and trauma of spanking, shame, fear and thought control at the foundation of these cults and cultural appropriators (destroyers) to be very helpful. I cry as I listen, usually while tending my vegetable garden, as the memories of the thankfully almost forgotten language of hate and absolutism and stories of the massive trauma of others remind me I am not alone. The trauma was real and deep. We didn’t imagine or deserve it. Very healing. Thank tou for this service.
