Unbearably boring
This podcast was so boring and poorly produced it almost makes me wonder about the average rating of 4.5. The narration is horrible. It’s the host doing 100% of the narration: males, females, people of different ethnicities... The host does every voice with only subtle inflection to indicate there is a different character being discussed. The cases are also not researched or presented very well. There’s not really any interviews. The host even does voices for individuals where recorded content is free and readily available to the public. There are no arguments or analysis. It’s just the host doing “voices” about cases. For example, when discussing the trail of Hogan and Gawker: 100% of the time, the host spends time doing voices, even giving Hogan a weird Southernnnnn drawee. No soundbites from the trial, or any soundbites (at all!) of the interviews conducted with Hogan. I even skipped ahead to some of the later seasons in case production picked up steam... NOPE!! Even combing through a few of the reviews, the syntax and vernacular are unusually repetitive, leaving me to extrapolate they are likely completely made up, or generated. Either that or this podcast has a following of listeners who find the stories as a catalyst to get ready for bed due to its dull nature. Genuinely one of the worst podcasts I’ve ever listened to. The host is a self programmed Harvard grad, so there’s that egocentric mention 🙄

Tempo is too slow and what could be one episode is drawn out in three. I listened on 1.2x. 1/read ads at beginning 2/pickup tempo 3/rid of reenactments Until then I’ve unsubscribed.
