A for content, C for delivery
After listening to the first episode, I have to agree with a lot of my fellow reviewers - the content is interesting and I can see myself really getting into it, but the delivery is subpar. The narrator sounds like he’s doing a dramatic TMZ or E! News story, and it’s super weird to have the narrator do all of the voices... including both sides of real interviews that were broadcast at the time. I prefer hearing actual clips when it’s possible. It also makes it harder to differentiate between things that happened just as described (e.g. Hulk Hogan radio interview) and things that are made up for dramatic effect (e.g. conversations between Gawker employees).

Well narrated, and dramatized. I would enjoy if they added one or two more voice actors. One guy does all the dramatized voices, and he’s the narrator. It can get a little confusing.

I'm really enjoying this podcast for it's content, and the hosts voice is very good, but any other voice work, in the background or secondary character, is so low in volume and tone it makes the material hard to hear. If this is fixed, I think i would re-evaluate my rating.Read full review »

I wanted to give the review two stars based on “potential”, but I couldn’t even do that. The producers didn’t aim for quality and miss, they purposely went for the least...Read full review »
