Megalomaniac host
I like the subject matter but the host...first he instantly tries to remind the audience that he went to Harvard Law (embarrassingly shoehorned in). Then, instead of using interview footage and actual news reports- he does all of the voices himself? Even when there is a news conference with multiple voices? And he can only do one accent so even the British head of Gawker gets the host’s grating accent? I began to think it was parody at one point. I dont know if this host is famous enough to have legions of fans (listening figures suggest not) or if the budget was so low they couldnt afford anything other than the host doing a monologue; but the outcome is barely listenable.

As an aspiring lawyer, I absolutely love this podcast. Hill Harper, being a JD from Harvard is extremely knowledgeable and fun to listen to. Best thing though, is in this world of everyone having a different opinion, this podcast is 100% unbiased.

Harper Hill is fantastic. The man is such an engaging story teller. The dramatic re-enactments are a little hokey. I get why they are being used, but that would be the one thing I would change.

Disappointed because the stories have potential to be engaging but the way the host "reenacts" scenes to, I guess, add color to the narrative totally takes me out of it. It just seems so forced and unnecessary.Read full review »
