“Some edits are so choppy and poorly done, you practically hear a record scratch. One sentence crashing into another sentence, mid word sometimes. And then two part episodes just fall off a cliff with no mention that the show ended or that there is even a part 2. Does a producer listen to how this sounds before publishing? Has anyone who works on this show ever taken a broadcast 101 class? But wait. You don’t need a college class to know that you should make sure your edits don’t crash into each other and that the end of the show needs a proper close. This show has ended in the middle of a conversation more than once. God knows it’s not Shannen’s fault. But I’ve worked in podcasts (radio at first) for almost 20 years and listening to the way this is produced just hurts. A lot of this stuff isn’t even that hard. Make a clean edit. Mention that there’s a part 2 coming, don’t just let the show fall off a cliff into nowhere. There’s a lot more production help this show needs, but good lord let’s start there. Giving this a 5 because of Shannen. But you’re killing me, iHeart. There’s a reason why it has such a poor reputation in the podcast world for just recording whatever and throwing it out there.”
