Really Great Listening Practice!
I’ve listened to the two most recent episodes so far, and this has been great practice for me! The Japanese used is not too difficult but I still always learn new things (I’m maybe at a level between n4/n3). I enjoy the fun, friendly atmosphere. It’s normal conversation between friends, so it’s perfect if you want to get better at speaking casual, conversational Japanese. By the way, no need to apologize for being a bit loud and laughing a lot. I really enjoyed that actually! It was a bit harder to understand, but that’s how real conversations are. A few suggestions: - I love that you translate more difficult words, but I think sometimes you over-do it a bit and translate some simple words that most people listening would probably know. Also, if you translate something once, please use the Japanese word from then on rather than the English one. Sometimes you guys use a bit of “Japanglish,” but I’d really like to hear how a native Japanese speaker would say things. - Actually, I appreciate most when you use a more simple Japanese word to explain a difficult word. That works really well a lot of the time. - The audio quality is not as good as it could be (though I can understand everything just fine). Maybe getting clip-on mics or something eventually would be nice, but not completely necessary.

All the topics are interesting and easy to listen to with good sound quality and using real language (not “educational” or formal language learned in school). I...Read full review »

Really great to listen to natural conversation! I love how they highlight all the key vocab with English, but explain it in Japanese. I could understand 80-90% of it thanks to that. Going to be one of my top podcasts!
