I always loved reading as a kid.   There were infinite worlds for me to escape in and live a life of someone brave, courageous, and cool...something I wasn't at the time.   Two books for me were crucial in my early development and growth of my imagination; The Wringer and Maniac Magee, both written by Jerry Spinelli.   It was only last year I emailed Mr. Spinelli some questions and he actually answered.  This is that story.
