Drag racing in the United Kingdom with Volkswagens started in the late 70s early 80s. A lot of guys from the day are still around and we were able to track down one of them for today's podcast. John Brewster got into Volkswagens in the mid-70s eventually working for auto carava a VW restoration and supply company. That evolved into him building engines and performance motors. He I listed the auto caravan drag car that also worked for slalom racing and lots of other things back in the day. He was originally involved in the VW drag racing in the UK. One of the original pioneers that started a lot of this across the pond. Do you know owns and operates JB's Elite fabrication.
