“I was a little old for Reading Rainbow but loved you in Star Trek. I really love this podcast. I listen while doing chores around the house and it makes it so much more bearable!
A story I’d love to hear is one I read many years ago and cannot remember the name but I think it was in a short story anthology. Maybe you’ve come across it, if not, no big deal!
It’s about a woman and her young son grocery shopping. She’s skinny and hungry but there are no prices on anything and there are mysteriously dire consequences if you get to the register without enough money. It’s also mentioned that sometimes the grocery workers will take/adopt your kids and raise them in the grocery. Ha ha! That’s the main gist. It’s given me creepy vibes about expensive grocery stores ever since I read it.
