The New York Islanders sit just four points back of a playoff spot two days ahead of the NHL trade deadline. Though it's only March, the Islanders' season has bounced up and down culminating in the dismissal of Lane Lambert and hiring of Patrick Roy. While the Islanders will likely make the postseason for the second straight season, their path once reaching the playoffs is challenging.
