Property Styling and the Race to the Bottom

Description
Life & Business In Flow turns two! It’s surreal to know that we’re two years, 13,000+ downloads and so many of you beautiful listeners later from that very first episode.   And at this milestone, I’d like to talk about an area of my past that I’m still so incredibly passionate about, and how it’s still such a big part of my present.   Before being a mentor, I worked in property styling in the interiors industry. I owned my own small business before moving to freelancing, then worked my way up to the head stylist at a large styling company. I’ve now been a mentor for over 5 years and still support many clients in the industry.   In a nutshell - after 10 years, I know this industry pretty damn well.   Because of that, I know just how challenging it can be. I know the struggles I’ve faced myself, as well as the ones that I still support my clients to overcome.   In this episode, I’m going to share the ins and outs of the property styling industry and talk about the challenges that stylists and business owners so often face. We’ll look at the many moving parts of property styling, your pricing, the impact of emerging businesses on established ones, and how misunderstood the industry is.   My goal is for clients, stylists, and property agents alike to truly understand the unique complexity that is property styling - and of course, for business owners to feel confident, worthy and valued.   These are my passions and why I do what I do. I want the women and men out there to love what they do AND to know that they can make a successful, sustainable living doing it.   Ready to create a sustainable Life & Business?
