Could be great
I really want to love Light House, it has the basis for a great story told through audio. However, it’s over-acted and over-written. The narrator’s voice is always so filled to the brim with emotion that it’s exhausting to listen to and blends all of her story together into one “tone.” This makes all the speech sound stilted and unnatural. Lots of vocal fry. Lots of purple prose. Very few scares, just a dreary atmosphere.

This podcast is super scary and simultaneously provides an incredibly moving look at childhood trauma. It is a rare horror story that makes me introspect so deeply. this one does, and it’s one of the best audio dramas I’ve ever heard.

A story of domestic abuse with a tiny bit of paranormal lightly sprinkled in. It feels like an after thought that does nothing to further the narrative or make compelling storytelling. It’s basically a cut rate audio adaptation of the shining.
