An odyssey
Quite honestly, this podcast blew me away. Each episode you get: 1. Excellent summary of a work with great narration and production values. 2. General historical context in which the work was created. 3. Background of the author(s) and their possible motivations for creating the work. 4. Snapshot of the lives of the general populace that was consuming the work and how they likely would have reacted to the work. 5. Philosophical and/or religious values of the time/place in which the work was created that the author and audience would bring to the creation/consumption of the work 6. Funny song at the end.
