Rupert Spira: Nonduality and "A Course in Miracles"
Listen now
Description
Have you had a glimpse of joy, peace, and happiness and then wondered why you fell back into old habits? Why doesn't happiness and peace stay as a constant state? What can you do to have a more consistent experience of awareness and your self as Presence? Join Lisa Natoli as she talks with Rupert Spira, author and teacher of nonduality, about the importance of practicing. Also in this one hour, a great description of the ego from a nondual perspective and how to relate to the body regarding health, healing, and sickness. Rupert describes how we get "a first glimpse" into our True Nature, but that first glimpse is not enough to dismantle the belief of separation, which you may have been practicing for 30, 40, 50 years. It's like playing the piano. You may have played the piano alone for 10 years, the way you thought you were supposed to play, and may not be aware of some of the habits that keep you from being great. Same with the belief in separation. When you live a certain way for so long (believing in separation, believing in sadness, depression, guilt), it takes a moment for new habits to become your new way of being: The Light of Pure Knowing.
