Description
My guest today was Born and raised in Montreal Canada, shortly after her birth Cheryl was diagnosed with Sickle Cell Anemia, a painful and chronic illness. The Doctors told her parents to prepare for her funeral, because she would not live to see her 2nd birthday. However, Cheryl’s parents dedicated her to the Lord, believing that “with God all things are possible!”  Although she has spent a lot of time in and out of the hospital and continues to struggle with this illness, Praise God she has beat the doctor’s prognosis. Cheryl graduated from Dawson College, in Montreal, with an Associate’s degree and moved to the United States to attend Oakwood College (now University), where she completed a Bachelor of Social Work. She has been blessed to obtain two Master’s Degrees in Addiction and Professional Counseling and is currently pursuing a Doctoral degree in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis on Behavioral Health.
