Description
Today's episode is an incredibly inspiring conversation with an amazingly successful real estate developer. Tanya Ragan was recently named one of the 100 National Commercial Real Estate Influencers for 2019 in the United States by The Business Journals. Real Estate isn't an easy industry to tap into generally since it's so risky, but it's especially risky as a woman in Dallas. Tanya walks Livlyhood listeners through how to unapologetically be yourself at work, support the women around you and how to make money doing it. To learn more about Tanya, see below: Dallas Morning News: How Tanya Ragan navigates Downtown Dallas’ ‘boys club’ of real estate developers About Tanya Ragan: Tanya Ragan is a visionary business owner who has conquered the real estate, venture capital, and energy industries.  Her company, Wildcat Management, focuses on scaled, locally financed projects in up-and-coming urban areas. She has led numerous efforts to revitalize downtown Dallas, including privatizing the city-owned Farmers Market, and relocating the Liberty State Bank building to a more business-friendly location.  She is currently rehabilitating the area’s last undeveloped historic structure into a destination for office and retail space. About Wildcat Management: Wildcat Management is a woman-owned, real estate investment, development, and management company with a strong commitment to urban revitalization and historic rehabilitation.  With projects and investments across the United States, Wildcat has the infrastructure and agility to lead profitable ventures that also revitalize communities in transition. About the Historic Purse Building: The Parlin & Orendorff Building, located at 601 Elm Street in Dallas, TX, was constructed in 1905.  It was one of a number of buildings and warehouses owned by its namesake company.  Known more commonly in Dallas as “The Purse Building”, due to the large painted sign on the east façade, it is listed as a contributing building to the West End Historic District and is protected as a Texas State Archeological Landmark.
