Kendrick Trotter on the Life-changing Impact of Tech Jobs on Underrepresented Communities
Listen now
Description
Today’s guest is Kendrick Trotter, Founder and CEO of Us in Technology. His story is remarkable. After playing Division 1 college football, Kendrick moved back home to the Bay Area and took up work as an Uber driver. A chance encounter led to a sales job in cybersecurity, where he saw rapid success. In lieu of climbing the corporate ladder, Kendrick saw a different opportunity. His story and his company are a testament to the power of imaginative capability: who we imagine working in tech, the possibilities underrepresented communities can imagine for themselves, and what we can do to close the talent gap.
