The Elite 8 is set and its led by a trio of ACC schools, none of whom are UNC. Instead it's Duke, NC State, and Clemson.
That trio is joined by two SEC schools (Tennessee and Alabama), two Big Ten schools (Purdue and Illinois), and one Big East school, reigning national champion UConn. 3 of the 4 Elite 8 matchups are rematches from the regular season.
Houston fell to Duke at least in part due to losing National Player of the Year Candidate Jamal Shead to injury in the first half.
