On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will cross North America, passing over Mexico, United States, and Canada. It's a once in a lifetime even for people along the path of totality, where the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, completely blocking the face of the Sun. For many of us, the Boston Bruins winning the Stanley Cup has been a once in a lifetime event. What might Boston's path to totality look like in 2024? Would they be better off going through Toronto than Tampa? What about...

Less than a month ago, Linus Ullmark was (reportedly) going to be traded to the Los Angeles Kings before he invoked his no-trade clause. And thank goodness he did, because Ullmark has been lights out over his past handful of starts, widely outplaying Jeremy Swayman. His latest feat was a shutout of Filip Forsberg, Roman Josi, and the recently red hot Nashville Predators.

The Boston Bruins followed up a huge, emotional win against the Florida Panthers with a bit of a dud in Tampa. However, you could see this coming weeks ago as a scheduled "trap" game. The fact that it was close is a testament to the play of Linus Ullmark and the effort from Danton Heinen, one of the best value contracts in the NHL. Looking at the standings and the Locked on Power Rankings, it's becoming apparent that the Lightning could be a legit first-round possibility for the Bruins.

Too many time this season we've seen the Boston Bruins give up a late tying goal and lose a game in overtime. How many of us expected the same with 2 minutes to go in last night's game against the Florida Panthers? The Bruins, however, erased 3 separate one-goal deficits, got the go ahead goal in the 3rd, and held on in what could be a defining effort for this club.

Boston Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery interrupted practice with some swears and sprints on Monday. He said he "hated" how the Bruins ended Saturday's loss to the Philadelphia Flyers, and how they began the practice session. With a huge game tonight against the Florida Panthers, Montgomery doesn't believe his squad is ready for the playoffs.

The Boston Bruins started a tough 6-game road trip with a loss to the more desperate Philadelphia Flyers, and tt was a reminder they can't coast into the postseason. The Bruins are 1 of 7 teams within a point of first overall, but the remaining schedule is pretty tough, including games this week in Florida, Tampa, and Washington.

Five-time Grammy Award winner Celine Dion surprised the Boston Bruins locker room by reading the Bruins starters before their game against the New York Rangers at TD Garden. She was in the stands for a 5-2 loss, but our hearts will go one because the Bruins still have a 3-point lead in the Atlantic Division.

The NHL could use a reignited rivalry between the Boston Bruins and the New York Rangers. They'll meet up tonight for a third and final regular season meeting, but an Eastern Conference showdown would really spark it up.

David Pastrnak was showered with hats and a bear coat after scoring 3 goals on the Ottawa Senators in a 6-2 win for the Boston Bruins. Locked on Bruins host Ian McLaren looks at what Pastrnak has accomplished, the gap between first and second in player points on this team, and where the Bruins are in the standings, and argues 88 should be one of the top candidates for the Hart Trophy as NHL MVP this season.

Tne Boston Bruins bent but did not break in Saturday's game against the Philadelphia Flyers, which hasn't always been the case so far this season. That came on the heels of an overtime win over the Montreal Canadiens courtesy of a Jake DeBrusk goal. DeBrusk has been red hot since the NHL trade deadline, a span in which the Bruins have gone 3-1. Others are contributing as well, including Linus Ullmark, Andrew Peeke, and the center duo of Charlie Coyle and Pavel Zacha. Host Ian McLaren takes...

The Boston Bruins are in Montreal to take on the Canadiens, and Andrew Peeke will make his black and gold debut with Matt Grzelyck out due to illness. James van Riemsdyk is also under the weather, prompting the emergency recall of Johnny Beecher. He should stay up, in the opinion of this podcast.

The Boston Bruins added two pieces prior to the NHL trade deadline: forward Pat Maroon and defenseman Andrew Peeke. These aren't gamechangers necessarily, but they could make a positive impact for various reasons, Peeke specifically is a more long term add, and hopefully he can shake off what was a pretty disastous season with the CO,umbus Blue Jackets prior to the trade.

The underlying nuimbers suggest the Boston Bruins deserved better on Monday night in a 5-1 loss to the St. Louis Blues, but a sluggish start did them in. That kind of effort won't cut it once the games really start to matter, but maybe the Bruins are lowkey trying to pass the Presidents' Trophy curse to the Florida Panthers.

Boston Bruins goaltendender Linus Ullmark allegedly said no to a trade that would have sent him to the Los Angeles Kings on Friday, and that's well within his rights and completely understandable. He then went out and had one of his best games of the season Saturday against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Locked on Boston Bruins host Ian McLaren discusses Ullmark's decision, how general manager Don Sweeney was trying to improve the team, which we can't fault him for either.

The Boston Bruins made 2 trades prior to Friday's NHL deadline, adding Pat Maroon from the Minnesota WIld and Andrew Peeke from the Columbus Blue Jackets. Say goodbye to Jakub Zboril, a 3rd round pick in 2027, and maybe a 6th in 2026. What DIDN'T happen was a Linus Ullmark trade.
