The Florida Panthers outlasted the Edmonton Oilers in an epic seventh game, 2-1, to capture the first Stanley Cup in its history. In the end, battling back from 0-3 to force a seventh game was a monumental task for Edmonton. The Oilers simply ran out of gas, especially the final two minutes of Game 7. Florida wins the series 4-3. Conner McDavid won the Conn Smythe Awards, as playoff MVP.
