The New York Mets scored the only run of the game on a fielder's choice in the fourth inning, as both offense struggled all night against starters Luis Severino of the Mets and the Marlins Roddery Munoz. Mets Starter Luis Severino was great tonight. The right-hander went six shutout innings- giving up just two hits while striking out seven and walking just three. Roddery Munoz went five solid innings for the Fish, allowing three hits and one earned run, striking out five and walking three in his best outing of the season. The Miami bullpen was lights out again, with releivers- Bryan Hoeing, Hector Brazoban, Andrew Nardi and JT Chargrois- combining for fours scoreless innings. Jesus Sanchez had two hits for Miami, but the Marlins went 0-7 with runners in scoring position, and left ten runners on base. Jose Iglesias had two hits for New York, but the Mets were unable to come through with the big hit tonight.
