Francisco Lindor hit two home runs, and Jeff McNeil added a homer and three RBI's, as the Mets beat the Marlins 6-4 in the series finale in Miami. Mets Closer Edwin Diaz got Jake Burger to pop out with the tying run on second base and two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning, just after Josh Bell's RBI groundout scored Nick Gordon to set the stage for Burger. Bell and Bryan De La Cruz homered for Miami, 35-64. DLC had two hits to lead the Marlins offensive attack. Yonny Chirinos (0-2) gave up five earned runs on nine hits in five innings to take the loss for Miami. He actually hit a batter with the bases loaded. Pete Alonso and Harrison Bader added two hits each for the Mets, 51-48. The Mets split this series with the Marlins in spite of the fact that they went 2-27 with runners in scoring position over the four games. The Marlins and Mets have split the first ten games of their season series five games apiece. The two teams play a three-game series in New York next month
