The Dallas Stars have possibly the best depth in the NHL, but is it enough to carry them to a Stanley Cup. The emergence of players such as Craig Smith and Sam Steel on the fourth line have made major impacts to the Stars offense which has been in the top five of the NHL most of the season. They also have six players with at least 20 goals, they are the only team to have that many plus they don't have a 30 goal scorer. Wyatt Johnston and Roope Hintz lead the way, but players like Tyler Seguin and Joe Pavelski are right behind them. This is the best forward depth they have had for years, but can out weigh weaknesses on defense and goaltending in the postseason. March Madness is in full effect and the Stars wrap up a five game home stand tonight against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Pens will most likely miss the postseason this year even with an incredible season once again from Sidney Crosby. A team which is opposite of the Stars, they met back in October where the Stars won 4-1 in Pittsburgh, the Stars go for three straight tonight.
