Refreshingly down to Earth
This is SUCH a good podcast. With a topic this big and controversial, it’s really impressive that Jamie manages to explain everything in a really clear way. Even when things could be really confusing, there’s a clear line of narration that makes it easy for people who knew almost nothing about the book (like me) to understand what’s going on and what it means. It also doesn’t shy away from the grisly details and how they relate to wider social contexts, which I love. (Also Jamie’s narration style reminds me of Sarah Koenig from Serial so like A++++)

Famously, this is the least cursed podcast of 2020. Insightful and thought provoking. Def going to join the book club fam.

I wasn’t familiar with the story of Lolita at ALL, other than the name, but Jamie’s amazing, so I gave it a shot. You don’t need to know this book to enjoy this podcast! It’s such a crazy story and definitely one that needs a deep dive. I’m now totally fascinated and can’t wait for more episodes.
