Topic needs discussing
This podcast is needed. People don’t bother to read the book but comment. Nasty men think it’s an instruction manual. The idea that Humbert Humbert is a romantic hero needs debunking. When I was in school the seventh grade English teacher was a lawyer who quit the fast track to teach. Actually, he was there to groom a girl he was obsessed with. He groomed the family, the students, he raped this little girl until she “aged out” her senior year. He quit, she had a nervous breakdown and was still in great pain decades later. She couldn’t get up in front of a court, he’s a big deal lawyer in Houston today. Every student in school knew about this, the staff of this fancy private school were in denial. It harmed the entire school.
