Solid, but I think it’ll get better
This show has super interesting topics and they’re told in a really clear and thoughtful way. The storytelling reminds me of Nate DiMeo, who created The Memory Palace, a soft, slowly paced podcast where the words are very carefully chosen and almost fairy-tale-like. It’s an awesome style because it lets you get sucked into a story really easily. It’s also got some 99% invisible flavors mixed in as well. I am hoping, however, that Aaron pegs his own style down a little better because it sounds a little clunky. There are a lot of personal interjections and questions asked that feel really unnatural and throw me off of his narrative groove. His background music choices can be a little distracting, but they get the job done most of the time. These are definitely superficial issues, though; his stories are really interesting and well worth your time!

An informative and entertaining look into the history of folklore and things unknown. I stumbled upon this podcast and ended up binge listening to every episode. Now I'm hooked and wish it was more than biweekly!Read full review »
