Diving into the nuance of a masterpiece!
After watching the first episode, I was excited to listen to the podcast. It did not disappoint. I especially enjoyed the context around discussion in the writers’ room. It helped to provide a much appreciated perspective on the complexities and nuance of the show. Especially as it relates to the Black experience in that era and now. Great job ladies!

I loved the first episode and was looking forward to a companion piece/podcast to get me through the week until the next episode, but the co-host’s voice was NOT made for radio. It was like listening to a teenaged girl with; can’t stand the voice-fry.

While the show seems to be rather informative and for the most part entertaining, they(and HBO for that matter) seem to be going out of their way to pretend the book the tv show is based on doesn’t even exist.
