I’ve been listening to this podcast for about two years now and it’s one of my favorite things ever. As someone who gets criticized for being critical of art and media, I definitely relate to both Heather and Mike. I think it’s good to dissect music because it’s a reflection of our culture. There are so many POC, women, and LGBTQ+ folk who have shaped so many genres and created trends, but never get the credit they deserve. I’m glad that some people are willing to share unpopular opinions on beloved bands and artists. Some of these people don’t deserve the accolades and worship they have received. Note: I was so excited when they shouted me out at the end of the will.i.am v.s. twenty one pilots episode! I’m trans and was going by the name Azazel at the time. I was initially confused because I haven’t used that name in almost a year, but I got so giddy when I realized they were talking about me. Brian saying he loved me was so cool. I hope you all remember me! I’m Teddy, you’re biggest Gen-Z fan!!! You have inspired me to work in music criticism as well.

When I first started listening I found this to be quite amusing. The Marky Mark episode is A+ material. Got a few chuckles out that. However, when I got to the Manson episode I couldn't stop cringing. For one, the so-called "goth" they had as a guest was obviously not a goth at all to...Read full review »
