Removing Emotions out of situations to reduce triggers
Hello Both, I have listened to all your podcasts many times, read Conquering Anxiety and completed the time line. I have worked to take emotions out of past situations and same for an any current situations. However I feel that I have almost like a phobia of how my mind reacts to certain situations such as hearing of someone getting hurt or in danger because of another person. How do I stop the triggers for this and not no into flight or fight which could then take a few days or even weeks to calm down in my mind. I don’t want to live my life scared x .................................................................................. Your podcasts are so fantastic and life changing. I’m currently going through a transition in life after recognising a past volatile relationship created a schema of fear around any stories in the news or on TV where a person may have been trapped in a situation and hurt. I have read your book and completed the timeline. My one question is, How do I take the emotion out of a situation where I am too empathetic, to see a situation for what it is so not to get triggered? I feel this is the one thing holding me back with truly feeling free in my life? Thank You x Thank you both for being so honest and creating Hope. There has always been so much fear and stigma around certain topics you cover and you have normalised them all, allowing us to Make the Change and move forward in our, my life x

Like most people I’ve seen The Speakmans on daytime TV. I’ve only just discovered the podcast though and I’m hooked.
