“Good episode and I agree with your general point but Canada and the US have different educational institutions; at least when it comes to private education. You cannot expect an ‘elite’ university to expand its academic staff to meet its applicant students primarily because they not only insist on being competitive but because of their greed — they will not spend more money on students by hiring more staff/tenure. It would have been better if you asked an ‘elite’ university wonk that question.”
