“Listening to Jake and Phil talk feels exactly like talking over coffee and cigarettes to the two of the most interesting guys in your college class after hearing a powerful lecture together. Sometimes you learn about a new thinker or author you’ve never heard of, and sometimes Phil and Jake talk about a text you already love and want to talk about again and again. The two hosts are rough and tough, but also compassionate, kind, and funny as well. I always want the episodes to be longer.”
