Do hosts know that podcasts aren’t audiobooks…?
The story is pretty interesting if a bit slow, and although some of the narration is good, lots of it is apparently Dorothy just reading passages directly from her own book…? The result ends up being a strange, disappointing hybrid of a podcast and an audiobook, which aren’t the same thing for a reason. I’m a little surprised the producers at Wondery were ok with this… it’s very weird and unfortunately sort of boring at the same time :(

This is an absorbing true crime story. It pulls you in with the drama of the actual events. I like the re-enactments of the real phone calls. Nicely done all the way around. What a great way to spend a rainy day.

This might be a compelling story - *if* it was told better or by different people.
