“They needed a better narrator. One of the women reads her lines like an orphan from a poorly produced community-theater version of a Dickens novel. I could almost hear her say “I went to ask someone for soup. And on good days I had a full bowl. But on bad days, I had to eat sawdust. And most days were bad days...” It’s so distracting and grating I can’t even finish the first episode.”
