Too long, not enough evidence
This show is mostly centered on how the loss of her uncle made her feel rather than the facts. I understand she can separate herself entire from the incident but in general this was a pretty terrible investigation. It felt like she was just trying to make the little evidence she had stretch by adding in a whole bunch of unnecessary details and her feelings and details about her life. Bad investigation and journalism

I have an obsession with true crime, but as someone that is newly married, this series shook me to my core. I’m the person that can hear all the gruesome details about how a person died without ever betting an eye. Somehow, Man-Slaughter has me afraid to sleep in the dark.

This is a fine true-crime podcast EXCEPT for the overwhelming number of advertisements that disrupt the narrative. I listen to many podcasts with ads—but seem to be so many more than in other series.
