Real People, Real Conversations
I am a fan of the British Baking Show and a friend asked me what is the attraction, especially since I am not a baker nor do I love to cook. I told him it’s the people on the show, not the hosts. I love to see ordinary people pursuing their passions, and I love to talk to people who are committed to being the best version of themselves. We mistakenly think celebrities have the most interesting lives, but that is not true. The most interesting people I know could care less about the limelight. These are the people Stephen interviews in his podcast, Marriott’s Side Trips. I loved the interview with the LONDON cabbie and learning about the 3 year process to earn his cabbie license. As an American, I love to listen to podcasts from a European perspective and having read Stephen’s first two books, I am glad I can now hear him interview he meets in his neighborhood or on his travels.
