I used this to try and gain insight into logarithms. The instructor is very thorough and breaks things down with lots of examples--which is good for a math rookie like me. However, the lack of historical context (the lectures are limited to modern conceptual matter) leaves the subject feeling a bit like a cadaver. I am reading Clark and Montell's historical account of logarithms to help bring the subject back to life.
