Gave it a shot despite all the other one-star reviews
Having already listened to Red All Over (so far my favorite, in spite of the too-long and too-loud laughter) and Blessed Be the Fruit Salad (second runner up only because of the one girl’s constant snorting), I decided to give Mayday a try despite reading the mostly-negative reviews. Only a few minutes into the episode 7 discussion, I see what the other reviewers mean when they say that they must not watch the entire episodes, or skim thru them at least. One of them admittedly hasn’t watched at all and the guy is describing it to her and she’s like “Really?? *gasp*” Lots of off-topic tangents. But really the most annoying detail was the one woman who sounded like she was podcasting from inside a bathroom. That’s the only way I can think of to describe it. Super echo-y acoustics with her voice. Also the guy has what sounds like a very young child babbling and singing in the background. Really distracting and ultimately rendered this episode un-listenable for me. Unsubscribing.

With a show this heavy, we all need a little humor here and there. I also enjoy the various quotes at the beginning of the episodes. Be sure to add...Read full review »
