Thank you
Hi everyone I love that you talk about so many topics and are honest. My oldest son is 22 and has autism he started getting violent at the time of puberty. He was a great baby and until he hit 12 was always well mannered. Then started hitting his brother, sister and me and screaming. I brought him to a therapist and started working through some issues. Seemed to be getting better about handling certain situations. At 15 another therapist stated he may have Autism spectrum. I brought him to an office and they did some testing on him. Found out his IQ was very low and has Autism. He was very angry could not look others on the eye was always moving around. I wonder if there is a connection between puberty and autism? I have always wondered because to go from a mellow shy kid with no behavioral issues to one with rage was so weird to me. I think it had to do with all the hormones on his body and it affected him in a way that was so overwhelming did not know how to handle it. I would love to hear your perspective on that?? There is a lot more but will not get into it now but he did some things and had to go to jail and did violate probation. In our society if you try anything of a sexual nature you go to jail no therapy or meds. This is so wrong I wanted him to go to a mental health facility and stay there for a while. Anyway I am getting off here this is a very tough thing to talk about and there is a lot I left out. Would love to talk to you on mental health autism and hormones. Thank you just love what you do!!

I’m also going into grad school to become an LMFT/LPCC this spring. This podcast will be a wonderful source of time information as I move...Read full review »
