Nugent sends me straight to the veggie drawer
I think it’s a really hard sell to say that Nugent’s contribution to hunting and fishing has even been net positive. I don’t care how many vhs tapes he produced—the “wack ‘em and stack ‘em” mentality has helped build the public relations crisis that we still battle. Heck, I’d hate hunters too if I experienced Ted Nugent as the loudest representative. He embodies the problem that Stars in the Sky sought to address. His bombastic “defense” of hunting has not touched the good that Meateater has done for this way of life. He may be swamped by people wherever he goes, but I don’t think I’d cross the street to shake his hand. All that being said, you guys tried your best to keep him reigned-in despite his insults and narcissistic tirades. Sorry you had to sit through a whole episode. Keep up the GREAT work; and next time go with your gut and leave egotistical blowhards like Ted off the air please. You’re way too good for that.

I was very glad to see that Steve finally did his own podcast. I've listened to him many times on the Joe Rogan experience and he is always full of knowledge and has great stories from personal experience. I look forward to listening to all future episodes.Read full review »
