“I’m living in suburbia, but grew up in the mountains with all of my family around. Since leaving (for Love & my Children), I’ve felt a deep ache for home. A deep disconnection from places and ways of living that feel alive to me. I sort of feel like i’m missing a limb—or something more vital—a lung. Anyway, just listening to these first couple episodes has been a way to come back into myself, has been a way to provide connection to my roots and to remember that connection can be made despite physical distance. I’m inspired to begin baking bread like my grandmother did, to write the stories my grandparents told, to sit with the plants where i am, and to bring a more intentional use of the plants I’ve wildcrafted from home into our weekly rhythm (through sipping tea in reflection of those wild places that are family too, or through flower essences made there). Anyway, I’m grateful to listen in, to learn, to be inspired, and to be gently nudged to remember.”
