Host Geoff Pardo talks with Adam Berman, CEO of Alleviant Medical, about the groundbreaking device treating heart failure without hardware or permanent implants. The Alleviant device mitigates shortness of breath in patients with diastolic heart failure by leaving behind a shunt cut from interatrial septum tissue. The shunt moves blood from the left atrium to the right, diminishing pressure on the lungs.
