Smart, great perspective
Wonderful reporting from Mallory Noe-Payne exploring how German society has dealt with its difficult history after the Holocaust. Smart, thought-provoking conversations between Mallory and Michael-Paul Williams draw out similarities, differences, and lessons we might learn as Americans. This podcast helps us to zoom out, to get some perspective on the American experience, and imagine a different future in real terms. Similar media will often challenge our historical narratives or draw attention to our current flaws, which is powerful and useful, but it can be hard to know what to do next. I love that these stories offer an affirmative vision for how our society could do things differently and gives us a reference point. I’m excitedly waiting for the next episodes and can’t wait to see what this podcast has to say next!

Excellent storytelling, pacing, and gets-you-right-there moments. Well worth the listen, and it’ll leave you thinking about it long after you’ve finished.

I am consistently excited for each episode to come out. Desperately waiting. Such an important educational parallel! A surprisingly approachable listen for all kinds of folks. Relatable and understandable. But not withholding the truth and discomfort. I have all my friends and family listening!
