Extraordinary
This podcast is a powerful antidote to the culture of forgetting that has taken hold of the way we think about history in America. Mallory Noe-Payne’s openness and curiosity, her willingness simply to step back and listen, make the first four episodes fascinating from an historical perspective. The reflective conversations with Michael Paul Williams at the end of each episode are probing, sometimes raw, and often restorative. I’m a frequent listener to podcasts, and I haven’t seen this exact format before—and it’s a welcome innovation. The final episode is profound, affecting, and brave! I wish every American could listen to this podcast. It would do us all a lot of good.

I have never left a review for a podcast before, but I was inspired by the excellent work and valuable insight of the reporter. I got choked up several times listening to this.
