Nuanced, necessary and healing
This podcast is amazing. Smashing the taboos around menopause and delving with nuance and insight into the problems Black women face whilst navigating menopause, these conversations are full of humanity, insight, humour, brilliance and healing. As a white woman I am learning so much about the menopause, but also the many levels and specific ways in which Black women are failed by institutional sexism and racism within healthcare These conversations build understanding and empathy, but, most importantly, they amplify the voices and experiences of Black women and place these voices at the centre of discussing and demystifying menopause. Beautiful, honest and necessary work.
