“This is really insightful. And I appreciate you taking the time give your input as a diagnosed narc. I’m going to “try” and get my man who I believe is a narcissist… to listen to this podcast. I think listening is the first step. He may not do anything with the information. But it will replay in his head at some point. I believe in planting seeds.. and this seems like a great start hearing from another man’s personal experience.
Update: this is the first day I’m attempt to truly go no contact with the father of my baby. He expressed no interest in even looking into narcissism. Which of course didn’t surprise me. But it just really hurts. I’m not sure what it will take for me to let go of this fantasy. That he will want the help.. and we can be a family. And the reality is you can’t make or force anyone to want or do anything. that’s the devastating part. Knowing there’s nothing important enough to make that person want to change.
Also, January 31st is a repeated episode?? It’s not word for word.. but there was an episode previously aired saying it’s “never a good time to talk to a narc” etc.. this podcast is almost identical to that. Does this happen often? I’m just wondering if I listened to repeated topics and episodes at some point.. I listened to them for an entire day one day. Back to back. Lol.”
