Little podcast that could...do amazing things.
It's an absurdity that a podcast drenched in the Word, the Truth, can even BE rated. There's no rating system on this dying earth that could even begin to consider the possibility of potentially giving a star review of a podcast that brings the Word of our God verse by verse, cross referencing scripture within both testaments, and translating verbiage to the original languages of those testaments that we may better understand our Father, gaining intimacy with Him. Alas, a rating must be given to submit this review because...technology. These Bible studies have helped me tremendously in my walk, but I've yet to hear them all. I'm from the south, spent nearly 4 years in LA pursuing acting, saw a lot of evil (gasp, what an awful word...yeah it is really awful because evil is evil.) Over the years I've hardened my heart. I became 'tough' because this is the world I'm living in, the one in which I must 'get by'. The world of economic crises, where humans are seeking human blood in the name of vengeance, where nations are literally and figuratively crumbling, where if it isn't Prada or Yves Saint Laurent, it's thrown to the dumpster—the same dumpster that the poor rummage through for food and clothing and are probably very thankful for the "last year's Neiman Marcus 'throw aways'" they found because it keeps them almost warm in frigid weather—a world that is being broadcast via an iPhone that is eternally soldered to a selfie stick, yet, we are BORED. This is the world I live in and you do too. I've called (underline called) myself a Christian for years and years. I was the cool Christian kid, popular in high school and college. I was super involved and connected then, and I am still connected now because of the business I started in Nashville. I've had access to celebrity and I've been to the parties. Cool, fine, whatever. Point is, when you really know you need God, and I mean you are slapped in your dome by a spiritual reality check, it doesn't matter who YOU are, who you KNOW, or what you DO. And when the time comes that YOU KNOW, DO. Because you better face it, we are God's kids (that means you reading this!) and He loves us (you...He loves you) regardless of the mess that has been made of the world given to His children. However, that's not a hall pass for us to do whatever we want. We will be held accountable for things done while in our earthly bodies. Whether you are an unbeliever, or believer or think you're a believer like I thought I was, if you are feeling convicted, go with it. Feel it. Let God work on your heart until you can't refuse any longer. Thank God when that time comes for you, but I wouldn't sit around binge watching Netflix, SportsCenter, The Bachelor, or even the Christian programming on TV, especially when it loses its meaning as a result of the monotonous landscape in "TV LAND". Your time, (mine, ours) is now. Now is the time to become more intimate with God and begin the relationship He desires to have with all of His children. Now is the time to accept His forgiveness and grace and eternal salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ who died for our sins so we might live. woah. While this podcast provides useful navigational tools for your journey through the Word, GOD is the one and only compass. You are so loved.
