Prior to founding Polpo, McNamara was a CMBS Portfolio Manager for 9 years at MP Securitized Credit Fund and launched a CMBX/Regional Mall Short Fund in 2020. This experience led Dan to launch Polpo Capital. McNamara has been investing in the fixed income markets with a focus on structured products & CMBS for 20 years. Polpo invests in CMBS based on a bottom-up approach with a heavy emphasis on CMBS underwriting, while weighing macroeconomic factors. The approach has allowed McNamara and the team to profit from opportunities on both the long and short side of the CMBS market. McNamara graduated from Amherst College. Lonnie earned a Master of Science degree in Real Estate with a concentration in Sustainability from the University of Texas at Arlington where he also received a Graduate Certificate in Real Estate Development.
